Napier flooding

 More than 225 homes\properties have been affected by this one in 250 year rain event. 18 of those houses are on Napier hill. 800 locals went without power for 2 days. Many families are in temporary accommodation while this is going on. It’s now up to insurance companies whether Napier homes damaged in last week's floods will remain standing or if any will be demolished.

Financial literacy

for the past couple days Totara 3 have been studying how to budget (wages,groceries,bills and more) We have a sheet in our maths books that helps us keep track of how much money we have\get. All our  cards are picked my random so u could end up with 150$ bill or a 40$ bill for your groceries. There is also a thing called fortune cards where u have a 905 percent change of getting an extra bill like " you bought KFC pay $35.00 " or if you get lucky you could earn $35.00. There is also much, at the start u picked up a card which had how much money you earn,how much u pay rent/mortgage and if you get 30% tax or 20% tax. This is worked out with a calculator.

Simon Cowell forced to break vegan diet

 The Producer of american idol { Simon Cowell  } forced to give up vegan diet after breaking his back in a horrible e-bike accident. After this incident he wanted to rebuild his strength, so hes ditching the plant based diet to gain some weight. Simon's girlfriend, Lauren Silver-man brang him multiple meat pies in recovery. Since then she has stated : "hes looking way healthier" He lost 60lb by sticking to his plant-based diet it has to come to an end.
